Austin Peterson is a 6-foot-6 right-handed pitcher for the Columbus Clippers, the Cleveland Guardians' Triple-A affiliate. Cleveland drafted him in the ninth round (271st overall) of the 2022 MLB Draft out of the University of Connecticut, where as a senior he set the UConn single-season strikeout record with 147 and was named First Team NCBWA All-American and New England Pitcher of the Year. Through late July 2026 he has made 16 appearances for Columbus with 76 strikeouts over 70.2 innings.
