CJ Kayfus is a first baseman and outfielder in the Cleveland Guardians organization who has split time between Columbus and Cleveland. He was drafted by Cleveland in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2023 MLB Draft out of the University of Miami, where he earned All-ACC Second Team honors and team MVP in 2022 after batting .366. He made the Guardians' 2026 Opening Day roster, but his season ended in July 2026 when he required surgery on an ankle broken while sliding into second base.
